These terms are an agreement between your family and Regenerative Education Project LLC, a Kansas limited liability company, 4615 N Cypress Dr, Ste 320, Bel Aire, KS 67226 ("we"). We run Lumen Family Academy. We took over running it in October 2026.
LUMEN is a homeschool operating system: curriculum, planning, and progress tracking, delivered as a web dashboard, with onboarding support. It is a tool for your family's homeschool — you remain the school. LUMEN is not an accredited school, does not issue transcripts or diplomas, and does not satisfy your state's homeschool reporting requirements on your behalf.
LUMEN is a catechetical aid for families — not a catechism, not an official text of the Church. It carries no ecclesiastical approbation, and it neither prepares, confers, nor certifies any sacrament; your parish does. LUMEN is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Acton Academy.
The trial is 7 days, free, and cancellable in one click in the app or by replying to any email from us. After the trial, on day 8, your card is charged for the plan you chose at signup: $667 a month per family, billed monthly, or $6,000 paid up front for 12 months ($500 a month, paid annually). These are grand-opening prices: the first 100 families to join (our Founding Families) keep the price they joined at, including at renewal, for as long as they stay. One price covers every child in your household, ages 5–18. Cancel monthly billing any time, effective at the end of the paid period. If a payment doesn't go through, we'll email you a secure link to update your card, and we'll retry the charge over the next two weeks. If it still can't be collected, your subscription ends, and your family's records stay yours to export. If a pay-in-full year isn't working for your family, write to us within the first 60 days and we will refund the unused months, prorated, without a retention script.
The Formation Year. The Formation Year is a separate year of LUMEN for families that teach Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Debate & History from their own books. It is $1,997 a year ($166 a month, paid annually) for every child in your household, ages 5–18, with the same seven-day free trial and the same charge on day eight. If you leave, you leave at the end of the year you have paid for, and you keep the Formation Year until then; you can end it from the cancel page in the family dashboard or by writing to concierge@lumenfamilyacademy.com. Moving to the Family Year: you pay the Family Year today, less the part of your Formation Year you have not used, and your new year starts today. If you are still in your free week, nothing is charged today, and when the week ends the Family Year is charged in place of the Formation Year. If you cancel the Family Year, the cancel page offers the Formation Year instead; if you take it, the switch happens at the end of the year you have paid for.
Your family's records are yours. You can export them at any time, and our Privacy Policy — including what we refuse to record by design — is part of these terms.
One subscription covers one household. Please don't resell, redistribute, or republish the curriculum; it's the work of one family serving yours.
LUMEN is provided as-is, and while we treat your family's records with the seriousness they deserve (daily snapshots, encrypted storage, exportable backups), no service can promise perfection. LUMEN's voice guide is an AI: it is built to teach carefully, and it can still be wrong, so a parent stays in charge of what a child learns. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, USA.
Program. Lumen Family Academy Customer Success texts, operated by Regenerative Education Project LLC, are sent from (940) 716-3294 only to parents who check the optional Customer Success text box when they sign up. We text to schedule, confirm, and remind you about your welcome call and your weekly Parent Loop check-in, and to reply to your questions about your family's account. We do not send marketing texts under this program. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Nothing about what we send, or how you stop it, changes.
Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies, up to 8 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
Opt out and help. Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to stop all texts. You'll get one confirmation and nothing more. Reply START to rejoin. Reply HELP for help, call (940) 331-9180, or email concierge@lumenfamilyacademy.com.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Welcome calls. If you check the welcome-call box, Lumen's concierge — an AI voice assistant — may call you to help you get set up. Calls are recorded so our team can follow up. You can say "stop calling," reply NO CALL, or email us at any time, and we'll stop. We don't make marketing robocalls.
Privacy. Your mobile number and SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
If these terms change materially, we email every account first. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
